Welcome to Buena Park Middle School, Home of the Stallions!

We are looking forward to your participation in the Music Department and are excited to get started! This will be the beginning of a musical journey that will connect students from all disciplines to their innate academic and musical abilities. 

Middle school can be a very exciting time for all students, having up to eight different classes, and taking on more responsibilities, all while tackling the different pressures at home. Participating in musical activities helps to build relationships while guiding students through this trying time. Whether it’s practicing together at home, hanging out in the band room during lunch, or simply decompressing from a long day, music helps students to foster teamwork and discipline.

Students who take on music as an elective are immersed into a musical group or ensemble and are taught social skills, leadership roles, and how to work together as a team, unlike any other class on campus. Continuing their musical journey to high school and beyond, students will look back on their experience at Buena Park Middle School and note that this is where it started. Through challenging performances, exciting trips, and building friendships, musicians are exposed to a family atmosphere found nowhere else on campus.

The staff is excited to welcome all students to our musical family and looks forward to making great music!
